Speedway racing for motorcycles originated in Australia in 1923. It also became popular in Europe by the 1930s and remained so. The racing is done on small, flat, oval tracks with lightweight motorcycles that have small fuel tanks and no brakes.
Speedway is for any rider daring enough to ride a bike without brakes and hardly any suspension.
With experience – and if you’re brave enough – you’ll enjoy the adrenaline rush and explosive action of sliding around a fully fenced oval circuit.
